I think it does, who knows Facebook could be the social media giant from what it was back in 2004.
Steempower also to me looks like an good investion. Also i am daily using steemit so it makes also sense for me to power up all my post.

Yes, it is also a safety measure in case of security breach, there are still days to act and recover account as one can only power down after seven days and installments. Also helps with stability with steem price
Yeah, it is an enterprise controlled and centralised as centralised platform goes. So I think steemit would surpass (couldn't find a better word <3) facebook in the next 10 years ✌️

Yes! But steem is what you should look at. It is a blockchain and #smt coming soon, so it add features like tokenization and steemit is coming out with community feature too. Plus, a ton of apps are already forming on the steem blockchain. dmania, utopian, dtube, dlive,steepshot, zappl, busy, chainbb, esteem etc, so steem to the moon

Well @quinnpeterson. I believe is going to do better than other social media platform. My personal is due to the involvement of great minds who are paid for doing what they like. Imagine all the supportive platform like steemnow, steemstats, steemvoter and so many others just to mention few are all there to gain from the coming of steemit. That alone is a sign that steemit has a lot to offer in the nearest future.
Part of the success of steemit is #untalented started by my brother from another mother @surpassinggoogle. Remember that a lot ideas as still in the oven cooking which are tend toward making sure that steemit has come to stay.
Like I said JUST WATCH AND SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT.
