Minnows Unite!
There is a very strong meme on Steemit called #minnowsunite, which is a community of newbies or "minnows" (small fish between big whales) as called here, trying to help each other out.
I've got many many upvotes from that tag, so I thank you all minnows for your help, and in return I shout out to you, and trying to help you in return, by raising awareness to this tag.
My dear followers and readers of this article, if you want your articles to be upvoted and read by minnows, all you need to do is put the minnowsunite tag in the tags space below your article. I usually get 10-20 upvotes for every article, and it could give you good exposure too.
So now you can use that community to get your articles more exposure, but also help them out too, and upvote other posters articles as well. It's purpose is to help each other out, so you will get 10-20 upvotes, but upvote other people too! Let's help each other succeed!

Yes it's pretty new and gaining popularity quickly. It was created to unite minnows and to help them get more fame, by upvoting eachother's intereting articles, and hopefully get the attention of bigger fish.
Sort of like a "writers union".
Just a curious thought, and I don't know, it was just a thought. Gaining 10-20 minnow votes which monetary value may be a few cents, worth the risk of a whale passing you by? I don't know, just a thought.
Yes, because there are not just whales but sharks, dolphins and other fish.
Most money you will earn wont come from 1 whale, but from like 20-30 sharks with less SP, but the same combined.
By gaining votes your post becomes automatically higher priority, because some shark sized curators don't even vote for posts that have under 10 votes. So the more votes you have the better, regardless of the money it earns.
