I love the idea of a non-profit Steemit organization, and the idea of value returning to content creators is noble. But in practice, it's not quite equitable. Right now most of the value is going to whales. So it's not really an equivalence. Perhaps one day the AI will be smart enough to be able to give payouts on the true quality of an article. The AI would obviously have to differentiate between an article written by a human and one written by a bot. This poses issues regarding curation rewards, but then there are already issues with that anyways.
