"The Pied Piper of Steemelin" ¡Alright! it's about time to clean the house of Ghosts & Dead followers!!

in #steemit6 years ago

Yeah! and for this task I'm gonna use kind of a fat TL|DR wordy broom.

You know...

Out of my current 595 followers, only 134 appears to be active and alive. Yet, the rest are just 461 ghosts & 146 dead. And it's like I'm already getting sick of my usual monologues and soliloquies. So, let's hunt for more clever comments and worthy live interaction.

Introducing "Spectacles" by @pilcrow and @sjennon

Spectacles

Yeah! click on the image above, put your username and check who are your TRUE followers.

¿Would you like see the 'true face' of some of these anonymous chaps?

Well, you can figure out quickly how they may look just by the type of content they produce.

Also, which are some of 'their true interests' and what is their usual wordy lexicon to express themselves spreading their opinions, ideas and whatnot out there thru the steemian's world. ¡Yes, all that with a simple swiftly glance!

That's right buddy! Just using a new online tool made by @egmracer01 you could get a couple of interesting data displays to summarize the content of 'authors' behind usernames around steemit that you probably would like to follow (or not). And obviously, that you will also be happy to place their stuff in your personal feed to read & enjoy them everyday.

So, Yeah! let's aim higher!! ¿Can we?

In fact, these are a couple of interesting data displays through which you would get a very approximate idea about the type of posts that these steemians use to write, publish and share within the community.

"A pair of simple graphs showing the 'sentiment analysis' for a given Steemit account"

Analysis, that I'm pretty sure that most people would like to see first, before blindly follow accounts without know in advance if their content is worth your time and if it would have a more positive sentiment and resonance with your own way of thinking. There is even a brief 'word cloud' over there that also will say a lot whether the account is relevant or not to your own curation rewards activity and excitement.

"A pre-selected Word Cloud and Sentiment Analysis for 25 steemit's accounts"

"Sentiment analysis determines automatically how positive or negative some text is with 0 being neutral sentiment. The analysis isn't perfect but it should help you see if a user's post is worded using positive or negative language. 5 is the most extreme positive and -5 is the most extreme negative"

¿Would you be able to guess to whom pertain these Analysis next?

Ok, here are some clues.

I have chosen at random 25 candidates to analyze. Of those 25, there are only 3 that I could consider my friends and that we have been following each other for years. 5 of the other 22 are just great authors that I recently added to my list of the ones I follow. And the remaining 18 are just a mixture of steemit's celebrities, personalities and a bunch of quite peculiar characters very well known in our community for multiple and diverse reasons. From the darkest and most negative side of the fence until the brightest and most positive side within the spectrum in our ecosystem. Inclusive, there are also a couple that you probably never heard of before. }:)

Ok ¿Could you identify who owns each chart?

Yeah! I will give you a few more clues. And for that, this time I'm gonna give you a list in alphabetical order of each one of the 25 steemians behind those pictures.

@abh12345 - @acidyo - @berniesanders - @blocktrades - @dan - @denmarkguy - @everittdmickey - @haejin - @htooms - @ilyastarar - @jerrybanfield - @lexiconical - @lextenebris - @ned - @ranchorelaxo - @sircork - @stellabelle - @surpassinggoogle - @sykochica - @tarazkp - @timcliff - @transisto - @v4vapid - @yallapapi - @yoo1900

Last but not least. ¡Yeah! Don't bother checking how may look the graphics & charts of my account. Because the results will be more entangled, cryptic and difficult to interpret than my own posts. ;p

I know mine I think!

¿Really? @abh12345

Well, being you a Data guy, I would not be surprised if you already know which one is yours. Actually, I think that I made it pretty easy to guess. But I'll still be waiting for you to tell me, tell us, which of the 25 you think is yours.

Cheers!! :)

I don't see any references to cannibalism or sexual depravity, so I'm not sure that my content is really reflected here as well as I might prefer.

Note to self: write about more sexual depravity.

¿Cannibalism & sexual depravity? @lextenebris?

Hahahaha, I guess you must be devoting too much time analyzing and playing RPG Games with a tiny bit of your own 'bizarre' “pre-lusory goals” lately mate. In your own words of "ludological constructs", perhaps you now are starting to confuse if those notions & references toward cannibalism & sexual depravity, if they really come from your own writing or from the content of other authors that you clearly enjoy and use to resteem a lot in your blog. ;)

So, certainly one of those charts above is actually yours. ¿Which one you think is it?

Cheers!! :)

No, I'm pretty sure I just want to spend more time writing about cannibalism and sexual depravity.

It's a lot more emotionally rewarding than writing dry analysis of activity on the blockchain, and it can be pretty well-integrated with complicated pieces on transgressive art and the play of games. Though I'm pretty sure I've never written anything on "pre-lusory goals," because that's just messy and shoddy terminology.

Maybe "narrative as sexual depravity," where I equate the act of storytelling with a violent exercise of rape for the unsuspecting listener. That could go over very well in today's market.

Figuring out which of the above charges mine is trivial, in part because it is trivial to go and actually generate a word cloud – but it's interesting that, of the entire list, I'm the only one that involves both people and the things alongside content. And a strong reminder that I really need to be more aggressively negative if I want to fit in.

Plus: more cannibalism.

¡LoL! actually, I think that very few things could be as transgressive & sexually depraved in a storytelling context with a violent exercise of rape for the unsuspecting listener, as your splendid in-deep 'dry analysis' of the activity going on within the steem blockchain buddy. :)

And a strong reminder that I really need to be more aggressively negative if I want to fit in.

I hear you here mate!! Perhaps you'd like to inject a little bit of AR to your deep explorations of discovery down there through the bottom of the steem blockchain. Maybe that way, most of us who follow your unique unearthing disclosures from there, would understand way better and clearly the wordy technical stuff you use to write about often. What will undoubtedly leave more free time to write about more cannibalism like you wish. };)

Plus: more cannibalism.

And then, there are some Tools to help you out with that too. Hehehehe
