TIL: Piston by @xeroc is a fraud and plagiarism (SATIRE!)steemCreated with Sketch.

in #steemit8 years ago

As there are a lot of new things added to piston. Some things don´t work as expected and some things work better than before.
Thanks to the help of @felixxx , @xeroc and @anyx I was then finally able to find the needed information to finally set up my own personal assistant.

While I was searching the web for more information, I stumbled upon an article that I have to share with you...
I googled the phrase "piston xeroc steem improvements" and was shown as first google result THIS page:

https://www.google.com/patents/US85561

You can read there, that there is an US patent for the steem piston since 1869
You can read that, Piston was invented by FRANCIS A. BROWN, OF ITHACA, NEW YORK (Probably Doc Brown?)
The patent is handling:

IMPROVEMENT IN STEAM-ENGINE-PISTON PACKING

Read for yourself!

The page is even signed by two witnesses ... ( WM. F. MCNAMARA and F. ROBERTS )

Additionally we can read at the bottom of the page that xeroc only bought the patent in 2006

No invention... no programming...

@xeroc you´re a fraud!

The blockchain will never forget! ;-)

(but anyway ... thank you a lot for your great work!)

haha... true, I should have mentioned that

check my post below for some interesting #that , click the link :)

Even if it were true, it wouldnt be a problem.

A patent expires after 20 years. and, unlike a copyright, there is no duty to cite expired patents that you use in your work.

so every patent from 1997s below is public domain :) ?

yes. thats why we have generic drugs and many different microwave manufacturers

Giving you a follow just in case :D Big ups for the work on the site , can't wait to see what you've made :)

How do you know he is not a time traveller and filed the patent at the wrong timeline?

Nice write on your profile :) , got here from a resteem
