BECAUSE YOU CAN SUCCEED WITHOUT BOTS

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

I would hate for a bot to downvote me the whole time. You know what I mean? But what if we can't find the bad bots and eliminate them.

Maybe that is what our strategy has been up to now. Why don't we invent good bots that neutralize the bad ones. Maybe copy what they do in the other direction so that the net effect is zero. Just thinking aloud here.

I think I may have gotten the idea from a movie, not sure. Like imagine if there were bad bots who looked like robocop and they went around killing people.

Like in chess, they had this champion computer that I think beat everyone out for a long time. Then one guy figured out how to beat it. But the way he did it was he made moves that the computer did not expect. So the computer was really good at recognising and responding to established patterns of play.

These were the patterns that they inventors programmed into it. But one guy thought... what if you surprised it (by bringing in something left field - that just means out of the box in MBA lingo, which means something unexpected or different in English), they freak out a little. These computers. These computers start freaking out. They don't like it. If you can say a computer freaks out about something.

The Internet of Things

Have you heard of IOTA (Internet of Things). There is apparently a CC based on it. It is all about how things get seriously automated. Where like you even subject living things like plants to automation. They tell you when they need water. Yes you heard right. Or they tell a machine or robot that they need water. And then the other machine gives them water. Machines talking to machines. Robots talking to robots.

What You Didn't Know About The Imitation Game

Kind of like figuring out the enemy's communication codes. Like when they figured out the Germans' codes in WW II. So in the same way you figure out the communication codes of the robots and then either hack it and make them destroy each other, or surprise them by doing things that they don't expect.

Like I'm sure that's probably what that one chess player did who was able to beat the computer. He studied the computer's software and programming and stuff.

I have not run into Cheetah bot, but I love all the bots on Steemit so far. Bots are the things to come.

Can bots feel love?

I thought that Cheetah only highlights plagiarism. I did not know that it down votes as well.
@orginalworks

Not sure if Cheetah does it - but apparently this one streemian got downvoted big time by some bot(s)

I suppose there must be a reason why the bots down voted him.

Yeah but it was not a good reason. It was more like a spam bot. Rogue spam bot or something. But luckily didn't affect her much because the voting power of the bot was low. Or pct was low not sure.

The system here should not allow rogue bot to operate.

Yeah why should it?

Interesting but how is it different from just searching for something? 😃 😄 😁 😆

Cheetah is a bot that will start down-voting if too many offences are commited - no bot is perfect though!

Exactly. A perfect bot would be human, right? 😀😎
