STEEM & STEEMIT & Why We Will Win!

So after just 2 months on STEEMIT I am absolutely sold on the vast potential of STEEMIT.COM and STEEM cryptocurrency itself. I will not deny the initial week or two was a very overwhelming process but it has been worth every minute of time from the onset. When I got to STEEMIT.COM admittedly I didn’t know whether or not this was a legitimate site and if it was actually feasible to employ a Blockchain based currency driven by the creation and curation of others content through the distributed ledger; moreover, its not that I was unsure whether this was a good idea, I was just unsure it had been done already.

As someone that was one of the first hundred thousand people on Facebook I can tell you from my personal experiences STEEMIT.COM and the STEEM Blockchain have more utility in the comparative technologies infancies (Facebook / STEEMIT.) The largest difference I’ve seen is the willingness and desire of STEEMIT early adopters to drive to create material, opposed to the FACEBOOK culture of sharing content and not as much creation. Moreover, even those that do create and curate important material do not reap the benefits, why would people stay with the old world of centralized distribution and no reward? The answer is quite simple, they won’t for long.

Why do I know that STEEMIT will win? Because STEEMIT which is a site powered by the STEEM Cryptocurrency is a hybrid of FACEBOOK and REDDIT in my opinion for dearth of a better explanation. STEEMIT is hard to explain because its original, its not the same washed up social media site that gathers its users algorithmic data and sells it to the highest corporate bidder while leaving its users either completely in the dark about the profits they’re reaping or just unwilling to share the pie.

Unlike centralized social media and content creation sites that don’t pay their users, STEEMIT’s community of users can upvote another’s post or resteem, curate, and comment to show that they value another’s contribution to the STEEMIT platform. The upvote is not only an upvote but is directly correlated to the user giving the upvotes own STEEM holdings and STEEMIT profile.

The best way to understand STEEMIT is like anything else, by trying it. The old world of social media and content creation will soon die, embrace the future of decentralized Blockchains feeding the people while also creating leisure enjoyment and overall knowledge of the world and making it a much smaller and friendlier place. Two months in and I cannot express in words how welcoming and great this community is, it is an aggregate of like minded people that want to use Blockchain technology to pursue their passions, educate, and earn non debt based currency anywhere in the world at any time of the day or night, the Blockchain STEEMIT/STEEM future is very bright.
