We dug a much larger reward pool which is enough to hold 30 days worth of rewards (before it was just 1 day's worth). It takes time for the pool to fill and payouts to normalize, but once they normalize the amount of rewards a post gets per rshare will be less volatile each day. The main reason the change was introduced though was scalability/parallelization.
