Seemit - Please Don't Turn into Another Reddit Reposting Forum

in #steemit7 years ago

Can we all agree that we don't need another forum for simply reposting hot Reddit posts?

So far, I've seen some amazing things shared and supported on here - a sort-of mini crowdfunding culture that encourages creativity, originality and even real-world or social utility. Let's not ruin it by only upvoting these quick laughs, memes, pictures, gifs, etc., that are often originally shared on Reddit.

I'm all for a curated content and, you know, share what you want... but keep in mind people will follow the upvotes. Not to mention Reddit does a good job of crediting the original creator - something that often gets lost between platforms.

Just something to think about. Anyone agree?
