One nice feature of steem is we have the ability to do either. When I wrote for demand studios it was a massive hassle. They had an editor go over your posts and they often required me to dumb down my posts before they could be posted. The quality I had put so much effort into was diluted so that an editor could approve it. It took more time to write poor quality posts. I like the freedom of steemit!
That's the power Steemit :) must have been rough someone messing with your work.
That's for sure! The maximum you could make from an article was limited to $10. What a terrible maximum payout for many of the articles I wrote. I spent a lot of time researching them. The incentive was writing fluff, not complicated technical posts. The people writing fluff made lots of money. It was better when it was ehow. They allowed you to earn based on google ad payouts.
