It's going to be a hard to fight to beat the Facebook monster! Just look at Snapchat to see how hard a fight it is. However, the fact that Steemit has a radically different business plan (by paying it's users) will certainly help to beat Facebook. Do you really think Steemit can grow to 2 billion users?
I really do think that steemit is gonna grow beyond that (all things being equal) because of the extra motivation that comes along with it. I was already tired of Facebook before I got to know about steemit.
