PLATFORM ISSUES: Anyone else experiencing Huge Lags and Lot's of Error's when Voting and Commenting???
Beginning in October 2017, I've suddenly encountered numerous error's and extended lag-times when voting and commenting on posts. Has anyone else experienced anything similar lately?
The Steemit Platform has otherwise been rather reliable network and a pleasure to navigate. I suspect if this is a widespread problem that it will be a huge turn-off for old and new users alike.
I'm using Chrome - but have also experienced the same with the Firefox browser as well. Any insights and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
I have been having this problem all day too! And I am on a microsoft computer
Good to know I'm not alone... I'm on a MAC running Windows in Bootcamp if that amounts to anything.... Chrome and Firefox experiencing similar issues... Hopefully there's a fix in the works - because it's not very inviting if you know what I mean...
I have heard there was some sight maintenance, I've heard DDoS attacks too, not sure what. I think everyone is experiencing this.
Thanks, man! I appreciate the feedback... Hopefully they'll get a handle on things and soon!
Yeah, I'd hate to see this become another MySpace.
Happening all the week... Really annoying, hope it gets soon fixed... I guess this could be expected due to increase in traffic...
Hope it's just "the traffic," and nothing more... Whatever it is, someone ought to be working night & day to fix it fast... If I encountered this when I first signed on - there's a good chance I would just walk away and never return...
It's taking me 5-10 times longer to successfully vote or comment on a post... Don't know how much longer my patience will last... Like I said earlier - if I were brand new here I'd say - "to hell with this site - this is BS."
Well, traffic is just one factor, i guess there could be also a lot of ddos attack, or simply site failure due to unpredictable issues... In any case, the steem blockchain is working just fine, what is failing is steemit.com which is a website just like any other...
That is not it my friend, I read a post from a developer saying that he found some unusual wierd code on steemit.com, meaning the company itself is running some tests to attempt to make this website a little safer and stronger.
One thing to keep in mind my friends is that the blockchain itself is completely fine, and does not have issues at all. Meaning information is getting thru and can be read without any error messages, the problems are strictly coming from Steemit website.
I would recommend checking out busy.org , which is for all intentions and purposes a different window into the Steem blockchain, you can post, comment and vote without 1 single error message stopping you.
I sincerely hope the Steemit team gets this resolved ASAP because of course as we know, not many users understand the difference between the Blockchain itself (the tech) and the Website (the interpreter of the blockchain) and these issues are of course eroding trust.
I'm trying to think of this like growing pains, if we stick to our guitars and see this thru we will all come out better for it.
Thanks for that low-down, Meno! Yeah, I've got on board with busy.org just in case although I'm much more used to navigating amid the Steemit shell. It's a bit better today - but still lagging a bit... Like you, I'm hoping for the best... Thanks again, man!

It's a bit better today - but still lagging quite a bit... (this is my 2nd attempt at trying to post this simple reply) Like you, I'm hoping for the best... Thanks again, man!
