Well it has been a little over a month since I joined Steemit, and I am fully committed to continuing my blog here! I still think the Steemit platform has great potential in spite of the obvious problems (bots and spam being big ones) as well as intermittent glitches. I have learned quite a bit since my last musings post, and have conversed with some very nice as well as very helpful people on here. I am very grateful for all of the good advice I have recieved, it has definitely helped me a great deal. It can be rather frustrating navigating this platform as a tiny minnow without the help and kindness of veteran members.

So this is officially my 100th post on Steemit (including comments lol). I feel as if I have reach a milestone with my blog, and in a small but important sense in my life. I have survived and overcome my tendency to procastinate and make excuses to put off any creative endeavors I might take up. I have managed to put in effort in some form on steemit daily since I started over a month ago! It is a great feeling to be and want to be creative again. Now that spring is finally here, I am really looking forward to getting out and taking more nature photos for my blog. I am also motivated to start writing, drawing and even singing again. For that alone being on Steemit is worth it to me. As I had wrote before I do not expect to make any real money for quite a while, I expect to work for months to build a good following. However it is very gratifying when more seasoned members upvote posts or comments of mine and I earn some form of steem. It definitely motivates me to continue doing my best to post quality content and support other people on here with upvotes and what I hope are well thought out and worth while comments.robot-3114245_960_720.png

In my last musings post I was still up in the air about bots.. After observing how they work and reading more experienced Steemit users thoughts on them, I have become decidedly against them for the most part. Don't get me wrong, bots do perform admiral tasks in some of their forms such as ferreting out plagiarism and spam. I can also see good reasons for using them in curating content for contests (which I do enjoy participating in). However I have a big problem with the upvote and resteem for $ bots. I truly think it gives an unfair advantage to some and make it hard for anyone just starting out to get any recognition for high quality content. Bots for hire also help promote spam and sub par content. None of these things are good for the long-term health or success of this platform. It ends up leaving new users fustrated enough to quit before they get a chance to see the potential. That is why I support @whatamidoing in his project #nobidbots and use the tag in all of my posts now.
In conclusion; I am enjoying my experience on Steemit and am fully committed to my blog and the platform. I look forward to continuing to learn how to be a better blogger and help contribute to the Steemit community. I plan on building my following and reputation on here organically and will not use bidbots. I will continue to support my fellow steemians and post what I hope is considered quality content. Thank you again to everyone on here whom have supported me with good advice and upvotes. I greatly appreciate it and look forward to meeting more of you and conversing with you all!
