Wht goes through a soldiers mind (diary)

Hello steemians this is my 1st installement of my thoughts when im in the woods.

saturday 22september 2015. I was on a post in the trench chilling my ass off. Every thought going through was of food or home or gettin some warmth. I was thinking of my friends and family. i was simulating as if im in a war itself as this was a live fire exercise. my shift ended at 08.00 and i finnaly headed to the campfire to get some warmth and sleep. 13.00 i get a distress call. We all storm out to the trenches and take aim. Then the fun started Mortars going full ham on targets our rifles going full ham on targets!. The end result is pretty good and i got such a rush from it. I wanna do it again and hopefully will do sooon again as live fire exercise has been cancelled 2 years in a row.
