That's one way to mine for sure! Another is by following curation trail so you don't have to worry about your voting power and curation rewards. I think I do quite well in relation to my Steem power. If you are interested find me in discord or steemit chat. Cheers!
Hey @buzzbeergeek, i understand i can make more in blogging or simply voting for others work. I've done that before with alot more steempower then i have now. The system that i am using now, is not abusing the reward pool because i am only getting rewarded with what i can afford with my steempower and not delegating. I can do this in my own time and i can control it or stop it when i wish to do so. I tried that voting bot before and to me that doesn't feel natural and defeats the purpose of steemit and I don't want to support a circle jerk either.
I figure that people buy mining equipment and earn as little as i do a week. So without the noise and stress of owning gear, i feel this is a very good way to mine what i can afford to mine. Ultimately what i earn stays in steemit because i am an investor of the current price i am adding to the reward pool. My goal is to grow my steem account and give it as a gift to my niece. She is 10 years old now and i plan on giving her my account when she is 18 years old. I am banking on steem growing.
