Hi @ourworld

What are you talking about?
I have looked at your account and you are not "blacklisted" in any way. The only way you can feel "blacklisted" on Steemit is if someone downvote you.
This can only be done by other members who has SteemPower.

This is blockchain free from censorship.

Try to learn how it works ;-)

Thanks for the response - So why does the "CURATION" option keep refusing my "Steemit" issued password?????

I do not understand what you mean when you write: "CURATION" option. If you mean to Upvote, that is how you get curation reward, you have to be logged in.

Sorry that I can not help you at the moment.

Supposedly 'they' will help promote a post - 'They' keep asking for my password [generated
by Steemit} - 'They' do not accept it - Why the Hell are they pulling my chain if 'they' are not
operating fairly and/or effectively!!!

Hi @ourworld
Sorry to tell you, but first of all you are very stupid.

  • Why do you not try to give them the password to your bank account OR cellphone as well? You have a wallet with real money in here!
  • You try to blame others when you do not succeed giving away your password?
  • If they are asking for something it is your "public posting key", to vote for you. I do not recommend that but somebody want others to vote for them.
  • You say: "Supposedly operation under Steemit jurisdiction - And when it asks me to log-in using steemit password - It rejects it - Something doesn't smell right. OR???????"
Nothing works under Steemit jurisdiction - Once again this is blockchain - It is Steemit.com or not!
THIS IS A POST FROM ANOTHER MEMBER LIKE YOU OR ME!
Why do you not ask them the things you do not understand from them? Why do you blame somebody else like Steemit.com?

I think you are talking about the Streemian.com password. That is a different site than Steemit.com. So you have to register for it, too. It will have its own password, not the one generated by Steemit.com. Here is more about the Curie curation process - The Curie Process. Here is what they say in those instructions:

Curie's submission platform is available at https://streemian.com/guild/curie. It is also accessible by typing in Curiesteem.com.

To start submitting posts, all you need to register on Streemian and link your Steem account. You need not verify your Steem account, though that maybe required for some of Streemian's other services. Do note Finder's fees will be paid into this Steem account.

Once registered, click on "Propose Post", paste in the URL, and voilà!

Hope that helps. This is a complicated ecosystem, so it does take some time to figure it all out! And then things can change as the whole enterprise is evolving. : )

No, not the same site - The 'Feed' keeps showing:
"The Daily Curie (22-23 Feb 2017)"
https://steemit.com/curation/@curie/the-daily-curie-22-23-feb-2017

Supposedly operation under Steemit jurisdiction - And when it asks me to log-in using steemit password - It rejects it - Something doesn't smell right

  • OR???????

I am trying to help you. Please tell me, specifically the steps you are taking. Please label them 1, 2, 3, and so on. Please copy the text that you are seeing and where you are seeing it. Are you clicking something in the curie post? Are you clicking something on the Steemit top bar? It is not at all clear what you are doing when you have your problem. Nobody can help, if they can't understand what, specifically, you are doing when the problem occurs. Thanks.

I don't understand. I'm a simple, straight forward person. If I can help, I am glad to do it.

Hello @haphazard-hstead

Yes, I think you are a very nice person.

§;-)

haphazard-hstead may be a nice person - But what I can't seem to convey here is a very simple issue: A group of Steemers calling itself "The Daily Curie" posts daily other listers posts and claims it can, and is, promoting them. Again here is their address:
https://steemit.com/curation/@curie/the-daily-curie-22-23-feb-2017

Now are they legitimate and operating legally within Steemit?
Or am I being coned by a group looking to steal my password?
And if they are legitimate why won't they accept my
Steemit generated password - which is what they ask for????

What is the text where they are asking for your password? Can you give a screenshot of it, or at least quote the text? That would be a big help to understand your issue better.

The Daily Curie is a post, just like any other. It's posted by an account called @curie. They have a system for anyone to recommend posts to them to review. The links to that system are in one of my earlier comments, with the quoted text. There is a team of people, following a process, looking at recommended posts. That process includes checking for stolen content or using too much content from somewhere else.

The team decides how much of a reward to give to the recommended post, if any. They give the reward through an upvote from the @curie account, and by having other people's accounts also upvote that post with a certain percentage of their collective SteemPower.

Every day, the @curie account lists all the posts that they have upvoted, so there is transparency about who they have supported with their upvotes. That list is the Daily Curie.

Every week, they also summarize what they have done, including how they have handled all the recommended posts. Not all the recommended posts get supported by them. They just don't have enough SteemPower to use to vote for every post recommended to them.

The @curie account and the people managing the Curie process are legitimate. They are not conning anyone. If you can type in the exact words you are looking at, when they are asking for your password, it would sure help me to help you.

Thanks. I feel for folks struggling to understand Steemit. Some things can be complicated here. I sure needed help when I started!

Here is the page I get to register - I assumed they were asking for my Seemit generated password:

https://streemian.com/register

NOW THEY, YOU, OR WHOEVER IS FUCKING WITH ME H AS PUSHED THE LIMIT

  • IT REGISTERED ME AND ACCEPTED THE PASSWORD NOW SAYS: "INVALID PASSWORD" -- YOU OR WHOEVER ELSE IS TRYING TO DRIVE ME - YES ME - OFF OF STEEMIT ARE SUCCEEDING
  • I'M OLD NOW AND WOULD RATHER .......THAN PUT UP WITH THIS CRAP.

Thanks for putting more information in your last couple comments. I see that you are trying to get on the Streemian site. That's the one I mentioned in my comment 3 days ago.

Streemian and Steemit use different passwords. You have to register on Streemian. You get to choose that password. You will be asked the name of your Steemit account -- that is your user name (@ourworld), but it has no interest in any of your Steemit passwords.

I'm sorry you are having trouble telling the difference between Steemit and Streemian. If you used your Steemit password to be your Streemian password, it is not the end of the world. You can reset either one, if you are able to keep them straight and organized.

If you are simply copying and pasting your Steemit password, sometimes it is easy to mistakenly include a trailing blank space at the end. That blank space will make the password invalid. So be sure to copy and paste only the alphanumeric code, not any blank spaces at the end.
