My first week on steemit
Hi guys.
So today am going to talk about my first week on steemit, at first i was curious to see how this system works all i knew then was that you get paid for posting, just posting? easy at first look right, but then i found out there are much requirement ranging from steempower to curation e.t.c so below how some of the things i learned on my first week.
PICTURE UPLOADING
when i joined steemit, i was advice to add pictures to my post when ever i make a post for clarity purpose and for better understanding, so cool no problem there after all, all i had to do was drag and drop but i soon realize that my post didn't have any picture along the title when ever i posted it but others always had, so here i was thinking it was a fault from my pc until i decide to try and add picture via html link rather than drag and drop. that was the fix whenever you drag and drop pictures on steemit via a pc, it does not show alongside the title.
- To solve this you have to upload your picture to an online file storage and share the link to your post for me i use https://imgbb.com/ you can click the link create an account and upload any picture of choice, some other advantage is that it saves you the trouble of having to arrange the picture location with this all you have do is copy the url link and paste it here. !
STEEMPOWER
At first i thought the more upvote on your post the greater your post income but this was rather a mistake from my side cause after observation found at that anytime i upvoted a posted there was little or no change to the value until i re-read the FAQ and saw that your upvote power is determined by your steempower.
- you can either covert your steem dollar to steempower or buy directly !
TAG
Upon seeing this i already knew the function but still there were more than 20 different tags used in steemit and only five different tags were required to be used in other words wrong use of these tags automatically rendered your post not available.
- go to tag familiarize your self with the appropriate tags !
Steemchat
Personally this chat is more or less functioning cause you are unable to relate with others when ever you try to access a steemchat all you see is post nobody ready to chat and here i was thinking, you could relate with others having the same idea as you.
