When Is The Right Time Of The Day To Post On Steemit

So you've spent close to five hours writing one badass post and you definitely can't wait to publish it so that the whole community can see your awesome work. After posting this article, for the first 5 minutes you observe that the only upvotes is yours, then you refresh again and again and realize that it's the same thing. No matter the amount of time you spend refreshing you page to see if there are changes on both your earnings and upvote, the number still remain the same. Like 30 minutes later, some votes start coming in, but since they're from minnows, the earnings will still be very low, say a few cents or so. Hours gone by and you realize that the post which you wrote from the depth of your heart with all seriousness and high expectation is slowly going unnoticed and unappreciated.

Take a deep breathe, you know what the issue was? It's called wrong timing. You posted the article at the very wrong time. Oh yes! There is a right time and a wrong time for posting your blog. Surprised huh? The true success here on this platform doesn't really rely on your current reputation but if hinges on the time you post, i mean the right time you post. With that being said, if you post an article at the time when most steemians are asleep, then there's every possibility that your blog will go unnoticed and unread and it won't have the value you placed on it from the initials. And if no one reads your article 24hours after you posted it, chances are high that the post won't have a louder audience.

Just a tiny little secret; you'll receive higher upvotes and enough rewards for the first 24hours of your post! After 24hours your post gets buried by the numerous newer posts which will also undergo the same fate after the first day. This aforementioned fact doesn't really affects posts coming from either a dolphin or a whale, their posts will get maximum upvotes and rewards and even higher resteems minutes after its release and will possibly land on the trending page. Any post that reaches the Trending page will keep enjoying maximum upvotes and rewards from higher and reputable steemians for the rest of the week until payout.

Need you be reminded that I'm not writing this post to acknowledge the inescapable success of the higher dolphins and whales on this platform, but I'm specifically directing this post to the minnows who are having a tough time here and are having lesser upvotes and views because of the wrong timing of their well-written posts. The trouble you're currently facing may have nothing to do with the quality of your post but most importantly, it has almost everything to do with the time you published the post and your current reputation on the steem ecosystem. Yes, your reputation score affect the success of your post, why so? If your reputation is between 60-68, most steemians won't necessarily need to read the post, they'll just hit the upvote icon in less than 20 minutes just to take part in the curation reward. And then if your reputation is at 70 or above, you need not worry because the upvotes will start rushing in the moment you drop your post. Your success here on the steem blockchain may sometimes hinge on your reputation as many steemians won't want to read posts from some minnows, rather they'll want to open blogs from whales and dolphins.

Nevertheless, there are several whales and dolphins out here in the blockchain that are searching and looking out for that well-written and quality contents from minnows and fairly rewarding the great work they are doing. So, don't stop giving out quality contents and keep striving for the best and your work won't go unnoticed. Hardwork really pays, and your reward is coming soon.

Now, when is the best time to post on here? Especially for minnows, the time you drop your article hugely depends on the number of views and the amount of upvotes you'll receive from steemians. If you choose to drop your post when there's traffic to the site or when almost all the steemians are asleep, then your post will go unnoticed for the day, and as mentioned earlier, once the post exceeds 24hours, there's every possibility that the post will go ghost for the remainder of the week. And again, once the post goes unnoticed on the first 24hours of publishing the post, you'll then be forced to compete with whales, dolphins and high reputable steemians on the platform.

So there's actually the best time to post on steemit? Since I can't post during the rush hour nor during the night, when then should I publish my post? Now, we're aware that most steemians are from the US and most parts of Western Europe. Your posts must be published when these active steemians are fully online so that they can be viewed by them, from my findings, the best time to post appears to be between 1pm and 7pm EST from Monday through to Thursday so that your post will be read by many of the active steemians from the Western Hemisphere and the US.

It's mostly by this time from Monday to Thursday that people at work pretend to be working, rather they are just whiling away time waiting. Where else is the best place to spend time if not on steemit? Viewing and reading posts from mostly minnows on the platform. And then from 7pm, users will just peruse through some posts before going to bed later on. Another hint, you should learn to avoid posting from 5 – 6 pm EST as this is when high reputable steemians will be dropping their posts. This period is otherwise called the "Rush hour" because your posts will be competing with whales and dolphins for upvotes and rewards which isn't a smart move.

I skipped the weekend because from Friday-Sunday, most workers and steemians will want to spend quality time with their family and friends, go on picnics and clubs. So the best time to post over the weekend is between 1-4pm, as most users will still be outside catching fun and all that.

And lastly, if you're already a whale or a high ranked steemian, say between reputations 66-70, be rest assured of posting anytime during the day or night because soon as you publish your article, upvotes start rushing in just to scoop up as many curation reward as possible. So when do you think is the right time to post on steemit? Or have you had a different or similar idea? Hit the comment icon let's discuss.
