How to add an emoticon ๐ป ๐ ๐ (colored symbols) in the title or content: GMail, Facebook, YouTube, Tweeter, Steem ... ๐
Using emoticons (colored icons) ๐ is very simple. It does not require any magic codes or any special techniques.
I have been delighted myself for many years, when I received an email with icons in the title, I tried to find information on how to do it. I have known for a long time that the solution is very simple, but there are few publications on this subject, which is why I share it with you:
To place an emoticon
you copy & paste emoticons to any place
in your title or text.
That's all you have to do. โ โ โ
Emoticon (small graphic icons) are actually one or a few special characters that are nicely displayed by browsers. Sometimes, in different systems, the appearance may be slightly different or part of the characters may not be displayed properly if you are not using the latest browsers. The number of available symbols increases all the time ๐.

Why use emoticons?
As the proverb says:
With the development of social media, these pictorial representations of feelings play an important role in communication. Below are some research results that show that it is worth using them:One picture๐ผ
is worth a thousand words.
- We react to emoticons like a real human face - Scientists have found that when we look at a smiling face on the Internet, the same, very specific parts of the brain are activated when we look at the real human face.
โEmoticons are a new form of language that weโre producing, and to decode that language weโve produced a new pattern of brain activity,โ, Dr. Owen Churches, Flinders University in Adelaide, form ABC Science , 2014.
<li><strong>Positive emoticons are one of the indicators that boosts post performance</strong> - <a href="http://researchswinger.org/publications/tchokni14.pdf">An analysis of over 31 million tweets and half a million Facebook posts</a>
, Simo Tchokni from the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory and her associates, 2013.
<blockquote>
The emoticon features achieved high performance, suggesting that there is a strong link between emoticon use and social power.</blockquote></li>
<li><strong>They are associated with happiness in real life </strong> - Users of emoticons experience a positive impact on pleasure, interaction, acquisition of information and usefulness - <a href="https://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1414156"> "Exploring the potential effects of emoticons"</a>, authors: Albert H. Huang - University of the Pacific, Stockton (USA), David C. Yen Department of DSC and MIS, Miami University, Oxford (USA), Xiaoni Zhang - Northern Kentucky University, Highland Heights (USA), 2008. </li>
New research is published confirming the effectiveness of using emoticons every year. I hope that these 3 have convinced you that it is worth using them in your publications.
Historical note
1862, the New York Times published a transcript of the speech of Abraham Lincoln, and it appears there for the first time ;)
it is not known whether it was a fault or a deliberate action.
The stamp :-) was used for the first time in 1982 by professor Scott Fahlman of Carnegie Mellon University
19-Sep-82 11:44 Scott E Fahlman :-) From: Scott E Fahlman <Fahlman at Cmu-20c>I propose that the following character sequence for joke markers:

Read it sideways. Actually, it is probably more economical to mark
things that are NOT jokes, given current trends. For this, use:-(
As the author admits, he was inspired by the work of artist Harvey Bell, a yellow, smiling face known as The Smiley (1963).
The idea was previously also presented by the satirical magazine Puck - March 30, 1881:

Today, many applications graphically present emoticons, such as browsers, but also many of the series when replacing the content, replace them with small images.
The word emoticon was created from the combination of English words: emotion and icon, before bitmaps (graphic stamps) were used, they were just a series of characters.
