When it comes to your steemit blog, i would go with something to write about that you really love to write about and that way if it doesn't make that much $ then you won't be discouraged from it because you are doing what you love to do anyways,
right?
do you love cooking? golf? makeup? comedy? there are tons of ways to contribute content to this platform and I encourage all new users to stick with it and don't give up.
Invest your time into the steemit community and help it to grow and you will see yourself rewarded as well in-turn because when steemit grows and succeeds, then everyone who is a part of steemit also succeeds.
