UI Suggestions to attract and KEEP new users groups like YOUTH..or else

Following a reply to a @abit 's comment on the post Early bird syndrome @nanzo-scoop, i would to ask the community to give suggestions like mine, for example :

""Would it be possible to ask people who join on Steemit to select 5-10 tags or topics they like, and to "feed" their "home Steemit frontpage" with a mix of what they like ( trending,new, hot) and what people they are following post ? ""
