Steemit community! Lets crowdfund a billboard promoting Steemit to the masses!
Hey! Would anyone be willing to pitch in to put up a billboard in a big city that promotes Steemit?
I was thinking about something very very simple like the logo followed by "Steemit, like reddit but you get paid for posting", or something similar.
I think it would be a very compelling way to get new users. And would also introduce a bunch of new people to the crypto space.
Anyone think this is a good idea? If so i'll set up a more formal post, as well as a way to keep the accounting transparent. If a lot of people were to participate, the amount per person would be very small! Lets do it!
Terrible idea. The masses are proles. A vermin tide of unaware creatures. They have the FB, Twitter, and many other places to bleat and mewl. Not that this place is the height of culture. But I don't think welcoming low borns is conducive to the crypto's survival. Just my six cents.
I obviously disagree, but thanks for you input. Maybe most of the community will agree with you.
I've got a better idea. Why don't we go guerrilla style and start 'Steem cleaning' dirty walls? Google 'clean graffiti' for more.
Good idea it may go great with the Steemit park community project in Brooklyn NY. A big billboard some where entering NY would turn a lot of heads. one good spot would be on the NJ Turnpike heading towards the Lincoln tunnel.
Yea I read about that today! I think any advertising to people that aren't familiar with crypto or Steemit would be a great thing.
