It’s the addictive-ness of the sugar and the caffeine that keep people coming back for more. Caffeine is a drug and is very addictive. I believe Steemit can also be addictive, especially when you see the dollars piling up lol

And if coca cola is harmful to your health, so much so that you drink it, you can use this drink for other things like cleaning toilets and leaving them clean, kitchens and stains on the floor. This is little of the things that this drink causes, but still many people always take it. If Coca Cola has done well in this way, because steemit does not do it too, it would be interesting to see it.
I drink coca cola because it tastes good. They have build their brand for sure but they also offer something in taste. people like jerrybanfield and jeoparsy do a lot to advertise Steemit on youtube and other platforms but still this has not help steemit build its brand. This is because of retention. Many People come here and leave specially when they realize that to earn some money one has to invest his real money on steemit.

Your thoughts section is much more reasonable. We have to think of ourselves for our own profit. The Coca-Cola brand has been able to move so far for hard work.
