PREVENTIONS IN AN EARTHQUAKE

Venezuela is found in the separation of two tectonic plates, the plate of South America and the Plate of the Caribbean. Unfortunately in Venezuela a tragedy can happen at any time since annually these plates are separated 1 centimeter annually and it is impossible to establish when this will happen if in 10 minutes or in 10 years

On July 9, 1997, a 6.9 Mw earthquake afflicting the town of Cariaco caused very serious damage, being felt in a large part of Venezuela and in Trinidad and Tobago, causing the instantaneous death of approximately 80 people, the majority of the dead citizens were young people between 8 and 16 years old, due to the collapse of a school and a school

This was really unfortunate since many young people died because they did not have the knowledge of how to react during an earthquake, the despair took their body and they went to the easiest way "La Muerte", so I will tell you how to react during an earthquake:

• Must remain calm and serenity
• Located in a safe place, they can be: Tables, Door frames, Wooden or steel beds and much better concrete, more, NEVER GLASS
• Once in a safe place, put yourself in a fetal position but with one hand on the head and the other on the legs
• In case of Replica of the earthquake evacuate the place and go to a free zone always using stairs, not ascending, since when an earthquake happens electric activities are superseded
