As for the abandoning/sell-out of users, will that have an adverse affect on the overall upvote values for content? If so, then it will further depress our content-creation motivations (not everyone, but many, including new users of Steemit).

How many accounts will actually be able to contribute a $.01 to posts? It may be a very small number, which will continue to propagate the whale-problem/mentality. Thoughts?
