RE: Could Steem Be The Gateway Drug To Mainstream Cryptocurrency Usage And The End of Central Banks and Government?

@dollarvigilante Excellent article. I have seen many of the things that you mention in a way that lots of residents of the so-called developed countries have only heard about.

I lived in Honduras and Venezuela and could see how the value of fiat money just disappears when the government (I actually mean the people in government) only thinks about their own (and those they are in cahoots with) pockets and how to fill them fast, with complete disregard for the wellbeing of the rest of the people.

First Honduras, where I grew up in the 80s started suffering from a devaluation of its currency and then Venezuela, where my mother is from and who we had to get out of as fast as possible, suffered a horrible complete collapse of their currency. In fact, people who worked for almost 40 years to have a nice retirement and during their working life earned much more money than what was normal in countries like the US or Germany, now have a retirement that is not even worth what's required to live a week on. The equivalent right now being just about $25 a MONTH!

So, definitely, steemit can be a life saver especially for people in those countries suffering now the consequences of the complete disregard for the future generations that governments are constantly showing.
Just my 2 cents!
