COUNTDOWN IS ON !!!
I fly out in 10 days for a visit to China and Thailand. After a 14 hour and 25 minute flight, I will be landing in Hangzhou, where I will meet my friend Liz who is living in China and teaching for a year. She has offered to have a hotel room waiting near the airport so I can shower and rest before starting our vacation. What a sweet thing to do!
We will then take the hour ride to her home in Haining, Zhejiang. We will be checking out that area, she will already know the cool places so she can take me to those.
We will only be in Haining, Zhejiang for a few days before we fly out to Thailand. We have a 10 hour layover in Haikou. We figured during the 10 hours we would do a little drinking and write haiku's LOL. These should be good, I will put the better ones on her.
Thailand looks amazing and we are going to try and do three different cities while we are there. Phuket (I am going to pronounce it fuck it lol), Phi Phi, and Bangkok. Cooking classes are on the itinerary, love Thai food. Several friends have told me once I have Thai food in Thailand I will never want American Thai food again.
After ten days in Thailand, back to Haining, Zhejiang for a few more days of exploring. Hopefully get to see a part of the great wall of China.
I am getting so stoked, but at the same time nervous. Do any of you get like that? Never been to asia before. The friend I am visiting said to get ready to be stared at wherever we go. Great, I will be like a star!!!
