Everyday, here on steemit , tons of new posts are made. You go through your feed and you see a lot of contents, it's number depending on the number of people you follow and how many posts they resteem

Which means we are exposed to new contents everyday. But then it's not the number of contents that matter but the quality of these contents or the value this contents have created.

These days on steemit, due to the increasing mis-use of this platform, we tend to see a lot of noise here on steemit which is targeted maneuvering the normal processes here and raping the reward pool.

Noise, in a definition, is anything that interferes with or reduces the accuracy of information.

Bringing it to steemit, noise can be defined as any content that adds no value to the community . It refers to posts that are made primarily for income generation .

Rather than create value, it takes away value from the community in the form of income.

You may ask, how does this noise affect me? Well, it does especially for people who have been on this platform for a relatively short time.

If noise constitute majority of your feed, then your own posts will follow suit. Like they say,

you are an average of five people you spend time with.

The way forward?

The only way to navigate through the noise is to follow targeted people. Look for people whose contents create value for you and follow them.

Go through their blogs and see posts that they resteem and if the authors of those posts fall into your niche, follow them also.

With that being said, you'll see that number of posts that have relevance to you increase and your posts might just follow suit

You are right that is the more reasons we should calm down and take our time to write quality post before posting. Because when someone goes through your post and find it rich and informative there is no way the person will not upvote you thank you

Exactly my point

This is obviously the crux of steemit, but not so many people know about this.
They rush to churn out substandard posts all in the name of posting something.

Some don't even understand that you can stay active on steemit without posting.

Nice one @molokwu

Yes, that is something I forgot to include.
