Is Steemit ready for mass adoption ?

Has it got the correct economic model for mass adoption?

I don’t know and i am not sure. I am not an economist and neither a techie.

If I am a Facebook junkie ( I’m not fortunately) and a friend of mine introduced me to steemit. I would like to write even it is shit, I want to express myself, I want to write down my thoughts which I cannot speak to anyone and I’ll get paid for this. Wow this is exciting.

I join steemit and it won’t let me post as I do not have enough RC. Then I am told I need to buy SP if I want to post more. Hang about, I have been on the platform for not long and I have been asked to buy in? What the ..?
Or I have wait and squeeze my balls until I have enough RC to post again.
Fuck it, can’t be bothered.

This would be mindset of mass people and it would be hard for steemit to get adopted especially when the prices of steem go up. We would be happy for short time as the prices have gone up but I don’t think the platform has ideal economic model for mass adoption.
We should think of a bigger picture and aim for more than moon.

I don’t know how it can be done or if it can be done but this is from personal experience when I tried to promote this platform. 30 of my school mates are in IT and guess how many have heard about steemit....1, which is disgusting and reflects how bad steemit is marketed.

I know there is a threat of spam if everyone is allowed to post more but there has always been evil against the good and that’s nature. How to suppress the evil can surely be worked out.

It is an excellent initiation by @nathanmars and he is all over the Twitter with the steem hustle campaign.
