May I Ask A Maybe Stupid Question?
Hey Steemians,
Please allow me to ask maybe a stupid question.
Does anyone know how long Steemit will stay in beta?
It's weird, today I watched at the logo and was thinking how long this* beta* is already standing there.
And honestly, I was too lazy to make some researches that's why I am asking you guys.
Does anynone know something? And also what future changes are planned for this platform?

At the End only the DEVs can answer it right to you Ray.... there is now TIMELINE to finish the BETA Status

Das würde mich jetzt auch interessieren, deshalb folge ich diese Unterhaltung. Beta, heißt eigentlich, dass die Version noch nicht fertiggestellt wurde und außerdem noch Bugs oder Abstürze vorkommen können. Ich bin gespannt, ob du die richtige Antwort erhältst. Liebe Grüße
I have heard @ned talk about it in an interview and he didn't give a clear answer. Basically he said that because there's still so many improvements yet to be made it will be in beta for the foreseeable future.

It was on YouTube. Not sure exactly which video but it was something from the last couple of months.
Probably after a couple more hardforks. I don’t think it’ll be out from “beta” even after HF20. Well that’s just me guessing.
Do you know if there is already a date for that Hardfork?
Nope no date yet. Just patiently waiting for it 😊

World of Tanks (online tank game) has been in beta for about 9 years :)) and it evolved a lot in all this time. Maybe staying in beta for a year or two will be good in the long run.

Possible, but I don't know how useful it would be for steemit to stay in beta for several years. Anyway until they roll out their key features like communities and SMTs it will most likely remain in beta.
