Steemians! What a great day today is, with the HF19 complete I know all of us minnows have seen our post payouts grow like crazy! Just a few examples of the changes in a couple of my posts before and after HF19:

Quite an amazing difference. For me, I will get my first ever 100+ post.
It has been pretty amazing today, the one post that jumped from $24 to over $100 was huge when I saw it. Happy for us to be able to reward each other even more now!

I am already taking care to make sure my voting power doesn't drop too dramatically. Probably going to cool it on upvoting peoples comments unfortunately. Kind of stinks cause I really liked to reward people that commented on my posts, felt like it helped encourage engagement!
I haven't adjusted yet :D
what is HF19?

It really is...just floating around sprinkling a payout here, another payout there. A beautiful thing!
It is the Hardfork that happened this morning, well morning my time. Changed the payout levels drastically so now the payouts are linear, before they were exponential. Means that us minnows now have more power to increase payouts when we vote!
now that sounds like a good update, what does that do to the vote of Dolphins and Whales, has that decreased?
yeah, they decreased proportionally. But most whales weren't voting anyways because of their nonvoting experiment. With the change they can start voting again though, so we'll see how adding them back in changes things.
why were they not voting?
It was an experiment to see how taking whale votes out of the payout algorithm impacted minnows and dolphins, by them not voting they were removing the largest amount of voting power to hopefully increase the payouts for people like us.
ok so they were asked not to vote by steemit
not really asked so much as they all sort of agreed to it...a lot of the really big whales barely voted as it was already.

Thanks so much! Yeah, those post payouts are a huge motivation to post even more now!!! I'm still struggling with the faster decrease in voting power, but I'll figure out the best way to vote soon I'm sure. Congrats on your big jump!!!
