Thank you, and welcome! Looks like you're off to a great start! One of the best pieces of advice I received regarding Steemit was from @talisman10 in a comment responding to my intro post: https://steemit.com/introducemyself/@joshpeterson/my-first-steemit-post-introducing-myself-and-some-initial-thoughts#@talisman10/re-joshpeterson-my-first-steemit-post-introducing-myself-and-some-initial-thoughts-20170828t091420444z

"...now get started by following, posting, up voting and commenting :)" That was another key insight that I will probably expand upon in an upcoming post, but it set me on the right path - Steemit is about the community and good interactions. So, thank you for saying hello and commenting. :) And good luck!

Thanks for the response and even more sound advice! Great to be reaffirmed that human relationship, no matter in the real world on virtual, will always be the basis of true success.

I like your writing style, and also went through your intro post. What martial arts do you practice?

Thanks so much! These days I focus more on grappling (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), but I've studied a variety. I grew up studying Tae Kwon Do and earned my black belt in it when I was 17, and have also practiced boxing, Muay Thai, Jeet Kune Do, wrestling, Kempo Karate, Tai Chi, and "MMA" (even though it's technically a hybrid style, it's become a style of its own). The techniques and styles are mainly just tools - what matters is how and why they are applied. Do you practice a martial art?
