Are we selfish in Steemit? 3 aspects.
Hello friends of Steemit, I bring you a topic that I have been thinking about for a long time and I have noticed certain things in the world of Steemit.
We may be selfish in Steemit and we have not realized about it. That is why I want to talk to you about this topic, to take into account certain aspects and reach the conclusion of whether or not we are selfish on the platform.

With nothing more to add, let's begin.
1) Read posts from users NOT popular.
All of us have read posts by other users in Steemit, but very few usually read the publications of users not so popular and known in the platform, either:
- Users with low reputation.
- Post with few gains.
- Post with few comments.
- Under Steem Power (SP).
These are some of the factors that draw our attention when it comes to reading or not a publication on the platform, these factors do not necessarily determine the quality of the post, so cheer up and read the newest ones from time to time, you can get there surprise.
When was the last time you read a little-known user?
2) Discord channels, just to promote.
We have all used Discord channels that various communities that exist throughout the platform to promote our publications, but ...
Have we shared a moment with the users who are in the chat?
The main objective in Discord channels, is to help each other and exchange ideas, if you join a channel just to copy and paste the link of your publication, because you are only thinking of yourself and not others.
You want everyone to see your post, but you do not see that of others. Stop a moment and share with the community, you can get to get really valuable information for your progress in Steemit.
3) Give to receive.
A very popular phrase that we all know, adapts perfectly to the way we should work in Steemit.
- Do you want to have upvote? Vote for others.
- Do you want to have comments? Comment and respond to others.
- Do you want to have more followers? Follow others as a sign of support, not interest.
Many times in life we focus on ourselves and our bubble, but it is never too easy to see around us, appreciate, support the talent and the great work that others do. Give the opportunity to the new ones, just as the community did it with you.
I leave you with this definition, about ethical selfishness:
Ethical selfishness considers that people help others but always in search of a later benefit (help represents a means to obtain something profitable).
