RE: S.T.U (Steem Token Unit) Steem. And How Rewards Are been Split between Authors in SBD, Steem Power and USD Explained

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

why is half of the STU, divided by the dollar price of steem power? Shouldnt it be 37 times the price of steem, which currently is about 4 dollars. 148 dollars worth of steem power? SBD is almost the same price as steem, so shouldnt it have been 32 in steem power, or something? It seems like Im losing money, not gaining? Is this right?

i spent over 46 sbd, valued at 161, to get back 166. doesnt make any sense whatsoever. It seems like for 75 percent of 100, 75 STU you should get 37.5 sbd and 37.5 sbd worth of steem power, not 37.5 divided by steem power price.

"You will receive the second half in Steem Power at whatever the internal Steemit price for STEEM is in USD So let's say the internal STEEM price is $6, you get $37.5 / $6 = 6.25 Steem Power as you can see."

Can you help me figure out why the post payout, 75 percent of approx 99 sbd only paid out approx 37.5 sbd and 9.5 sp? I had put over 46 sbd into the post, and did not lose any of the bids. So how did i end up losing money?

The posts are listed in sbd, so it should have been 75 percent of 99 sbd. Im confused.
