The Parallel Between Steemit and Klout from Back in the Day
I've been more active on Steemit for a few weeks now and I'm starting to understand how it works. I do intend to stick to some niches such as parenting and mental health, as they do coincide with one another. I do throw in some recipes from time to time but because I do work in social media management, I wanted to write this article.
Back in the day many marketers took the Klout score seriously. The Klout score is a score that a social media user is given based on their social media activity, online engagement as well as online influence. The higher your Klout score, the more influential you were. You sometimes were awarded perks such as free movie tickets, food and free tickets to events. Your Klout score also was a determining factor whether you would be hired or not if you applied for a marketing job.
Even though Klout is no longer useful today because the system ended up failing and ownerships did change- at one time it did matter. The more active and engaging you were on social media, the higher your Klout score was and the more influential you were.
I am seeing the parallel between how Klout used to be and Steemit today. The more engaging and active you are here, the higher your reputation becomes. And quality of the content you put out mattered for Klout and it sure matters here.
Except with Steemit the rewards are far better. You are paid for creating good content, and engaging with other users. And you have to be consistent to reap the rewards with Steemit like you had to be on your social networks in order to achieve a high Klout score.
The parallel is, as long as you are consistent on a daily basis of possible, you will be rewarded.
i do hope so, i am enjoying my time here, eventough sometimes my post dont go reallt well.
i have use Bubblews that pays the poster with reward also. but it closed about 3 years ago.
I remember that. It's all about trial and error too.

You said it - good content, a niche you love and some fun to write great posts. -
Steemit rocks!
I am seeing it now that it does
yes there are similarities, the big differences are as you say much better rewards and of course the engagement is just steemit engagement and not a score from all your socials combined
upvoted and resteemed, we like social media posts ;-)
Yes those are significant differences
