Should we really have a #nsfw category
I know there are plenty of porn aficionados (and I don't mind the occasional look), but really, does porn belong on steemit? There are plenty of sites around for true appreciation beyond 2 sec gifs. However, i do acknowledge that this is a completely open site, with a global community, and we can reject the #nsfw category with filtering. There is some temptation I can see through the monetization of the posts - they seem to have a very high average post value

Seems like they are really trying to copy reddit in that regard. That being said, i assume steem thinks it will bring more traffic
no this will only bring puberty to the innocent breed :P
I also think that there are many websites much better for porn than Steemit, but as long the nsfw tag is used, I think this type of post should be allowed.

Personally, I'm all for people posting anything they want to post that's legal for us to display.
If people don't like the posts, they won't vote on them. If the posts are getting paid - somebody obviously thinks they should exist. :)

There's lots of original content on steemit that falls under the tag #nsfw
it brings more traffic definitely
I's say yes to having a #NSFW category, I mean what if someone has a story with sexual elements or even a graphic novel with Game Thrones like sex scenes.
It be a shame to censor out great stories just because of sexual content, plus I'm sure there is a market for erotic stories here on Steemit.
