Could a Neuroscientist Understand Steemit? Could Modern Neuroscience Techniques Really Understand Our Blockchain?
The neuroscientist could look at the Steemit code, the CPU threads on the nodes, the Steemit wallet interface and the user interactions, but a full understanding could never be made on how Steemit processes its information.
Yet the daily processes of Steemit are a lot more easier to understand than the current neuroscience of the brain. Steemit does not have brain plasticity for example, so the data for Steemit seems to be a little simpler than that for the human brain.
At the end of the day, brains are not computers. We don't have algorithms that we can apply to the brain like Steemit, so it's a tough gig to understand the brain through just looking at the connections alone.
Bottom $: We are still very much in the dark whether organic or silicon.
