Flagged post #abuse

My post was flagged today and I’m annoyed. I’m actually more than annoyed, but I don’t get angry, I get researching.

The #steemian that flagged my comment wasn’t just targeting me (as you’ll see). She/he/it (compressed down to ‘shit’ from here on in) was flagging lots of steemians, and a few went to the abuse help chatroom to ask about how to get the flag overturned.
I’m not sure if there’s an official way to get the flag removed and whether there should be or not is a matter for a different discussion. Rest assured, that shit flagging your post is easily rectified by a few others upvoting you.

I looked into the one that flagged me, Google is quite the tool (a more useful tool than the one that flagged all these people, but there you go…)

I’ve deliberately hidden the search and the name of the flagger because I think the shit craves the attention and I’m refusing to give the shit any more of mine in direct form.

As you can see, (hopefully) the shit got really busy at around 9am London time but that was just this wave of petulance. A day or so ago, the shit was on another spree, spreading the lurrve so to speak.

I really REALLY want Steemit to work but shitty behaviour like this, if left unchecked, can do damage and I really do believe that shit has a lot of time on their hands. Therefore, I’m keeping the link and I am personally going to counter as many downvotes as I possibly can by locating the users affected, following them and upvoting their affected post.
I realise this will take a lot of my time and therefore, I’ll not be able to write and post as much on here, but if this Steemit thing is going to work for me like I hope, a little sacrifice at the beginning will be more than worth it.
