Steemit - Raising appreciation. 😊☀️😊

There has been a tremendous increase in not so positive chats and rhetoric around @steemit and @steem prices.

This made me think about the current crypto climate and really what our community initially set out to achieve.

This compelled me to write a post, not so much about the technicals driving our community and platform, but more about the fundamental morals and ethos behind @steemit.

We tend to be ever ready to criticise and argue the negative views spewed by those who's sole goal is instant wealth and I think because of that we lose sight of the important role @steemit and similar platforms play in distancing ourselves from huge corporate social media platforms, who's sole goal is to exploit as many people as possible for their own financial gain without any consideration for its users.

Pretty much a different form of the centralized banking we have all come to loathe because of its inability to share the world's wealth with everyone and not just a few.

I think if we take a step back and realise that platforms such as @steemit is still better than FB, insta, twitter and the like even on its worst day we are still being rewarded regardless of the amount. It is still more than any other platform has ever done.

We also dont realise that the current crypto market is under pressure so steemit is not alone in this down period but the difference is we have a community who consistently supports and continues to use the platform.

What we all need to do is start raising our appreciation levels for @steemit and stop complaining about getting rewarded too little or the system does not always work in our favour, because at the end of the day this is one of the ONLY platform to reward you for creating content good or bad in some way or another you get rewarded.

That is more than can be said for any other centralized platform out there who we give away content and information to freely.

Just a thought and reminder to stop complaining and start appreciating and also if you dont like something pitch in and change it yourself.

Appreciation is key.
