Stop Comparing Steem with Facebook
Why people can't stop comparing Steem with Facebook? They are just totally different platforms.
- Facebook is about connections, not content. Of course, there is some content on Facebook, but it doesn't matter much.
- Steem is about content, not connections. Of course, there are some connections features here, but it doesn't matter much.
You can compare Steem with Reddit, but not with Facebook.
For that reason you may also stop fantasizing about people leaving Facebook for Steem en masse.
I think it's more like Twitter and of course Reddit.
They are totally different platforms, indeed, but you still have people creating stuff for a facebook audience who could move here for a much greater revenue stream. The same can be said about YouTube. Soundcloud. Wordpress. You name it. The idea is that if enough people are here, and if we see the functionalities requested being implemented, Steemit can very much compete with whatever platform which currently attracts content creators.
