I might be responsible for quite a bit of them, been blasting Steemit all over the personal finance blogosphere since Sunday night. Was good timing since I recently hit an account value of $25,000 and that made a nice title to grab people.
It has earned quite a bit of views about it. Plus I visited a lot of blogs and left comments telling them about Steemit too. :D
It's great to see such a constant and positive increase in the amount of visitors each day! I believe this amount is currently being quite severely limited by how hard (or long!) it is to sign up to the site, but this is still such a great thing to see.
I hope they can get the account creation sorted out and we see even more people in the future!
It looks like they have. Every time I check total users on steemd, it keeps increasing. Right now it seems to be at abou 4 new users per minute. But that can fluctuate throughout the day.
Oh, in that case that's great! I just had a friend who tried signing up a week or so ago and he still hasn't got his confirmation. Maybe he is a unique case though! That's great to hear.
