SUMMARY:
๐ Applying data to charts can give a clear view of trends when they develop .It appears that some of the accounts that were in the top 1000 that were powering down have fell in value enough to no longer qualify in the top 1000 . Also it seems that some of these have just plain powered down to nothing.
๐ The number of accounts powering down out of the top 1000 continue to fall this is good news for the price of Steem going forward . Fewer large accounts powering down means less Steem on the market to be sold .

The majority (minnows) are powering up and I've noticed most whales seem to be powering down. Thus, the price dropping to almost a dollar now. Could you please explain what this means in the medium - long term of Steemit.
Long term it means whales hold less of a percentage of steem and minnows/dilphins hold more. That's a good thing.
Oh yeah, that makes sense. This could create a cycle where whales and minnows keep exchanging power, which would obviously be healthy and sustainable long term for the community.
