GOOD NEWS.......STEEMIT WEEKLY DATA REPORT....... BAD NEWS ...... BAD NEWS
8 / 26 / 2016 This week we have some Good news and some Bad news and some more Bad news ? So let's dig right into some of the data.

In my report last week I wrote :
One of the big problems i'm seeing as an investor is the Blue Line. The Blue Line is active users over 24 hour period. You can see by the chart above on 7 / 27 / 2016 active users were 6425 and on 8 / 19 / 2016 active users were 5832. Thats over a 9% drop in 23 days . Also notice the Blue Line is relatively flat. I'm not exactly sure what qualifies as an active user. I would think it is a user who either posts , comments , or votes . The active users should be increasing .
Now some GOOD news: The Green LINE is total accounts. Total accounts have skyrocketed from 38960 to 70149 in only 23 days. That's an increase of over 80% in just 23 days. This will blow your mind if STEEMIT grows new members at 80% a month over month for one year. Are you ready for this figure: 81,150,564 over 81 million STEEMIT members in one year.
This weeks report :
The Green Line continues to rise this is good news total accounts increased from last week 8 / 19 / 2016 was 70149 this week 8 / 26 / 2016 is 76078 that is an 8.45% increase over last week .
The Blue Line continues to fall . This is bad news . Active users over 24 hour period decreased from last week 8 / 19 / 2016 was 5832 . This week is 4597 : That is a decrease of 21.17% from last week .
The Red Line also continues to fall . This is bad news . Active users over a 7 day period decreased from last week 8 / 19 / 2016 was 20084 . This week is 14811 : That is a decrease of 26.25% from last week .

SUMMARY :
Total accounts increased 8.45% over last week that is 1.21% increase per day.
Active users over 24 hour period decreased 21.17% from last week. That is 3.02% decrease per day. This to me is troublesome .
Active users over a 7 day period decreased 26.25% from last week . That is 3.75% decrease per day . This to me is also troublesome . I believe these two problems ( in reality are the same problem ) need to be addressed sooner than later . I feel confident that whomever is in charge of this department is working on a plan to remedy the falling numbers . We will continue to monitor these numbers and keep you updated here at STEEMIT WEEKLY DATA REPORT.

Well if the active accounts are stagnant and the total accounts are growing, doesn't that mean that we are being invaded by bots?
this thought has crossed my mind as well .
This is very interesting. It feels like the popularity of steemit is just starting to rise. But I have not yet seen it in the main stream media so if that happens it will a massive wave of users. Will be looking forward to next week's report.

Good information thanks for sharing. Now if we can get active users to be 80% active and at least post ore like one article a day would be great.
Yes I want to invest more but I need to see improvement in user activity .
Active users went down. New accounts went up. I'm not trying to cause trouble, but I wonder if the new accounts are for bots or fake accounts for down voting, which I've seen a few rants about recently. Unless all those new users are doing nothing.
vegascomic I have also thought new accounts may be fake accounts I don't know just a thought . But even if they are user participation should be growing .
Yeah, they should be doing something...anything to be considered active in some way.
Thanks again for your reports. I think "active user" means one or more replies or comments, because the decline in active users seems to correlate well with the drop in comments and replies over the same period.
