If this is for STEEM, is there a similar process for SBD's? Are they released daily as well or generated from anther process? I suppose the inflationary STEEM currency is ok if adoption increases and more people need it to function on the site/invest.

That's a insightful one, what service can a average steemian like me use to check the reward pool statistics you just shared?
Like you know STEEM is an inflationary cryptocurrency. mean Unlike Bitcoin, STEEM doesn't have a fixed supply. New STEEM is continually being created to reward authors, curators, witnesses and Steem Power holders.
For you to be able to calculate how much STEEM is added to the reward pool per day you must first understand how the inflation rate works.
