So a few days ago I wrote WHY I changed some of my hard-earned Yen into my new favorite Steem-currency. In case you missed it please have a look HERE

Today I would like to tell you HOW did I do it and also give you some of my thoughts about my last 2 weeks on this exciting platform

So, How did I change my Yen into Steem Power?

steembuy3.png

I'm still fairly new in this interesting and exciting field of crypto currencies but that didn't stop me to try to get some answers to my many questions. If you have no clue about something there isn't any excuse to play dumb, get up and try to figure it out. You won't be alone, but you need to do your own research too. Fortunately these days we also have the Internet to help us.

A word and a blow.

For the first time ever, I have used a coin exchange, in my case it was the Japanese company COINCHECK.
So I just signed up with them and send two bank wires from my Japanese bank account.

After that I could easily exchange my Yen into Bitcoin, what worked out extremely fast and without any problems. For the next step I had to send my Bitcoin to my Steemit Wallet where they were automatically converted into Steem. And finally I only had to power-up to change my Steem into Steem Power

And I was in !

I'm going to write about the coin exchange Coincheck in some future post, the whole topic cryptocurrencies is just going to rock the boat here in Japan too.

And here is a little about my experiences during the first 2 weeks on Steemit

As I wrote before, I really try to post every day, however I 'm not sure if I can continue doing so. Quality before quantity, you know, and just sending out a post for the sake of posting, well that's not my idea of delivering quality content.

In addition I have always been trying to answer as many comments as possible. Since I'm writing in English and in German that will take quite some of my precious time.

I'm always glad and feeling great, when some of my followers, or some of the people I follow are taking the time and trouble to leave a comment or their opinion. Then all my effort wasn't in vain.

Somehow I have never heard anything or seen a comment of some of my followers, Please don't take this as a complain, it's just an observation, I'm still learning how all this works here on Steemit. Just wondering why did they link up with me in the first place.

Not everyone can be around on Steemit every day, however I'm always looking if there is some new post of the people I follow, which might interests me. And then I surely will leave an upvote and maybe a comment too.

I cannot say about myself, that I'm the greatest and most awesome blogger or writer, there are so many of you guys delivering amazing content day by day. Also I'm writing in a language which isn't my native one. However, I always put into my post a big amount of time, lot's of passion and a huge portion of LOVE. As I said I'm writing in both German and English, so it will take up a big part of my daily life.

It is by no means the case that I don't have anything to do. I still need to do my usual work too and also my family seems to be happy if I'm around and not spending my free time on my computer.

I also tried, as I was advised before, to interact with a lot of other Steemians here, so I commented a lot and upvoted like there was no tomorrow.

Whether I can really find new followers by doing so, I'm not sure at all. Many of the old stagers won't probably have the time and energy to look and check out the profiles of some little fish like me, leave alone reading my post.

However I'm grateful to get so many interesting and helpful information, that's why I like giving back something with my -now a little increased- upvoting power and a comment here and there. The last 2 weeks here on Steemit where quite an adventure, I could meet many great people and become part of a marvelous community.

####My thanks go out to all of you!!

But what I'm still thinking about, what will happened if now really millions of new users sign up on Steemit and start posting like hell?

typesteemit.png

Every post and comment which is upvoted will get some Steem Dollar or Steem Power.
But I read the amount of Steem was limited from the start and at some point in the future (I believe it's around the year 2036) all Steem Money will be created.

As much as I understand, also the amount of Steem that is released yearly is determined from the beginning, so if the amount of post and upvotes will double, triple or sky-rock doesn't it mean that the reward for every single post will become less and less? I think that shouldn't be a problem if the value of Steem will go up.

Well, even do we all keep fingers crossed for that, that is not for sure.

So far we only can exchange our Steem Dollars into some other cryptocurrency, I can't see another really usuful area of application yet. Let's see whether the SMT (Smart Media Token) will be really the game-changer they are promising.

These are a few things I don't really understand yet and still need to find an answer.

But I will stay on task and will figure it out.

As I said, it has only been two weeks and I'm not finished yet.

.
Let us grow together and develop this platform and community to something amazingly great and wonderful.

Indeed you really put a lot of work in this post, thank you @maxinpower, I am optimistic about the future of steemit.

Like you said, quality first, we must do our part as the earliest steemit members by laying a foundation of quality posts so that it becomes a nom for future steemit family.

Thanks a lot.

Thank you very much for the comment.

I hope I can grow to together with this platform and the whole community here.

Unfortunately, last night my computer just broke so now I'm a little stressed out. Maybe it's a good chance to take a break for a day or two, and just think about how I can provide better content

Have a great weekend

Informative post @maxinpower I love it that you're localizing into other languages. As I currently reside in Germany I think it only increases your potential audience. Lets all rise together Bro!. Upvoted!

Thank you. I hope it will my increase my chances to get noticed but also needs way more time to finish my posts.
I'm not sure yet which still is better, 2 different posts or both languages in 1

Where in Germany are you staying now?

Near Stuttgart. I usually try to mix them up. Long posts and short ones. My Life Is Precious series requires alot of research, so I try to do something lighter (like todays post) after I complete one of those.

I can see that.
Keep up that work my friend.
Hopefully some day it all will pay back

Time to go to bed here.

Enjoy Saturday night!!

Shared with my followers :-)

Thank you a lot, I was already wondering whether anybody has seen this post at all.

All that technical issues might make people stay away or take a break here at Steemit.
At the moment it is smooth, but yesterday was a pain in the ass...

really nice post resteem

Thank you a lot.
I'm very glad you liked it, I wanted to let people know how I'm feeling here on Steemit
