User Friendliness Needed

in #steemit8 years ago

Ok, I have been putting images on here for three days. Today I go to put an image up, and it is upside down. No biggie I think, I will just upload it upside down. It shows up upside down. So no matter what I do the image is wrong.

I have only used this platform from my phone so far as my computer is at the pawn shop. Because I am poor. I am exited about this platform, I really am, but as with many web based communities, it is written by people who assume everyone can write code. I cannot.

This is why fb has so many users and people come on here and are running for the hills and the comfort of user friendly fb in a few days, tops.

I will continue to plug along, however, I really believe in this idea. I still think it is my fault for trying to do this just from my phone. I will rescue my computer soon and then, hopefully, be able to post some quality stuff. I have ideas I want to share and the possibility of getting paid for them isn't so bad either.

Is there an app in the works for this? I hope so. The only way for this to grow is to make it as easy to use as possible. Most fb ers use it on their phones. Just saying.

This editor leave a lot to be desired.

I had this happen with a picture of mine a while back when I uploaded from my phone. I later uploaded it from my desktop without issue. One answer I got from steem.chat as to why this occurred was that is was due to the operating system (being android from my phone.)

While I understand the annoyance caused from this, I would recommend either uploading the pic from another device (with a different OS) or try a different image hosting site (I use tinypic.com.) Luckily I've only ran into this once so far and I'm sure improving ease of adding images is in the steemit development pipeline.

Thanks, I am using an android and used imgsafe. I was wondering if it was my phone.
