Open Bazaar is a decentralised marketplace, where users can buy and sell physical goods for bitcoin, bitcoin cash or zcash.

They've just announced a new category of listings, 'Cryptocurrencies' with 44 currently supported, and more to come.

I reached out on twitter, and got an immediate reply listing the 44 currencies.

It's not an exchange or steem wallet, so you can't keep a trading balance of steem on hand, nor can you place buy and sell orders at specific prices (looks like the seller sets the rate, denominated in USD), but it's another option for buying and selling steem; with the benefit of an escrow service (Verified moderators)

Which means it's now possible to list physical items for sale on open bazaar, be paid in bitcoin, and use that bitcoin to buy steem, all on the one site.

Exciting times

Oohhh! Im already thinking of things to sell 😁

That sounds awesome!
Maybe one day we will have a website like ebay where you just pay with steem xD

We have a couple of retailers, but they're quite niche. @phelimint takes steem for silver coins and bars. @steemitshopaus sells steem merch for steem; but they're the only two which spring to mind.
Imagine buying something with an upvote.

waiting for a service provider, who after crowdfunding, would protect me from violent people... separate statists from healthy humans ;)

That's where we're headed. Fiat collapses, so does its issuer.

Feels like Christmas :) how long?! What is your estimate? I'd say 1 year? Max 2, but it is impossible to know for sure...

Closer to 5 I think. It's still imminent, but that gives peope time to forget about my prediction if its wrong :)

It all depends how the elites will decide to play it out... I don't think they can pump this poopcastle that much longer no matter what. I think we need a crowdfunding platform before the bazaar... but still psyched we are going that direction :)

Orwell was right (apart from socialism)

Interesting, how do they monetize off of their websites with no fees? Adveritising...?

this is the 3rd good news of the day,

  • STeemit reached 1 Million users.
  • Steem is ranked 2nd in China.
  • This one, yes exciting times.

Sir, I was installing Path of Exile, but It starts downloading 10 Gb data but due electricity break down i couldn't complete the download, is there any other way to play the game?

No, you'll need to install the full game in order to play. There's still quite a while before we start, though; so maybe give it another try.

Okay, I'll give it a try.
