Is Steemit The Decentralized social media do it yourself kit?.

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Short post's or long posts? Now a new social media using the same blockchain called Busy has been announced. The Steem blockchain's only limit is how much development happens on top of it. Steemit could have a Facebook killer, Instagram killer, Twitter killer, Separate Front end user experience all on this chain. Normally a new startups worst fear is getting beaten to market by the giants in their space. Facebook can not out innovate Steemit or beat it to market. Facebook is big slow, not decentralized, and even if they decide to adopt blockchain tech and open source it which they wont. It would take ages for them to implement while Steemit is already multiplying itself exponentially across the globe. The price is low but my spirits are high. Especially since if the price keeps dropping for a while I get to pick up more Steem with my SBD. While I am getting less dollars per post. It is because people SP can't give as much $$ at this marketcap. A 10$ post though. Is what 100 Steem... broken down into however he algo is doing it at the time lets just day 50 SP 50 Steem even though it isnt that right now you get some SBD in there also. That is nearly a quarter million vests. My vest are like 4 times what they were when my account was "worth" over 2 grand. So if and when Steem starts the long march up-ward I should be glad for every moment of this downtrend.

Sort:

I am all up for sort posts and long. I support both and hope the community will do the same if we are to be a big social media site think this is the way forward.

Can't forget the all important medium sized posts. Long enough to have some meat to them. Short enough to actually want to read it.

This post has been ranked within the top 80 most undervalued posts in the first half of Nov 18. We estimate that this post is undervalued by $3.47 as compared to a scenario in which every voter had an equal say.

See the full rankings and details in The Daily Tribune: Nov 18 - Part I. You can also read about some of our methodology, data analysis and technical details in our initial post.
