We are a small nation in the world has ever had an equal footing with the UK, French, Portuguese, Spanish, American, Denmark and other developed countries. But the story of 500 years ago.

These positions, because we have a very famous port is "Bandar Aceh Darussalam". Our royal control of the Strait of Malacca, traffic merchants from the west toward China.

Bandar Aceh Darussalam became a haven of western nations with the nations of the east, in the spice trade. People from west and east to share the goodness in our land. Cultural cauldron happen so we had high culture and civilization. In the 16th century we reach the peak .

Our empire, had fairly good bilateral relations with the United Kingdom and France. "Aceh Darussalam" is the official name of our empire, but some call our friendly countries with "Achem, Achim, Atchin, Atchein, Atjin, Atsjiem, Atsjeh, and Dutch call us with Atjeh.

Thomas Forrest (c. 1729 – c. 1802) was an English navigator who worked for the British East India Company.
In 1762 Forrest had command of a Company ship. In 1770 he was engaged in forming the new settlement at Balambangan which had been recommended by Alexander Dalrymple, and in 1774 he led an exploring mission in the direction of New Guinea. He sailed on 9 December in the Tartar, a local boat of about ten tons burden, with two English officers and a crew of eighteen Malays. In this, accompanied during part of the time by two small boats, he pushed his explorations as far as Geelvink Bay in New Guinea, examining the Sulu Archipelago, the south coast of Mindanao, Mandiolo, Batchian, and particularly Waigeo, of which his was the first good chart. Time passed, the round the world until the 20th century AD, the kingdom of Aceh Darussalam we lost the war with the Royal Dutch East Indies in the second world war, it ended the sovereignty of our country. Now we are under the control of Indonesia since 1949, and now becomes a province categorized as poor province in Indonesia.

Apart from the story feels like a fairy tale for our young people, but our ancestors bequeathed various kindness, especially intellectual creation, culture and civilization, which is today the initiative of @mapesa, our own urge people to keep and care for the heritage.
