Well, he could give away his earnings to charity or you can ask whales to not upvote official steem announcements :-) No other way around as this is how things work here on steemit. Posters always get money .
A feature to do exactly this was implemented in one of the previous hard forks but it isn't being used.
smooth just posted this in comments, the team of steemit already seems to have thought of that issue! kudos, amazing that they even thought about that problem.
